Most bizarre thing I've heard in awhile, if not ever: Dolly Parton and Ladysmith Black Mambazo doing a cover of Cat Stevens' "Peace Train". It's actually kind of nice. Ah, ourtunes. And the Macalester students who have such bizarre musical tastes I can borrow from.
I'm avoiding my lit sed paper, which I need to get done today before Clare comes tomorrow for her visit. So excited!! There's also a bunch of fun stuff going on around campus this weekend, which is exciting. Art crawl, salsa dance and performance, water polo tournament... I have to make a colassal grocery run for the baked goods bonanza a friend of mine from Houston and I are holding in honor of our birthdays. Then my parents come in on my birthday with a doberge cake... It could be a fabulous week if procrastination and midterms don't fuck it up. My cold's finally getting better after The beginning of this week, which sucked. I seem to be doing well on papers and stuff. Still haven't had any actual tests, but my first one is my art history midterm the day after my birthday. Harsh. But I'm trying to study ahead of time.
The boy front is pretty quiet here. There are a few delightful sophomores in my Spanish class who seem to enjoy talking to me (sometimes). There's also this freshman I'm kind of in lust with... Tall, broad shoulders, dark curly hair, blue eyes. He loves Arrested Development and some of the same music I enjoy. I know all of this because I kind of facebook stalk him. We were in the same group for a community service orientation activity, where I first became fascinated with him. But now I have no opportunity to talk to him, leaving me to pine after him in silence when I run into him EVERYWHERE. Though I just found out he was supposed to be in my Spanish class. But isn't. Bitch.
Anywho... That's the scoop.
Blah, boring post.
