(ooc: wow, didn't realize it was that long x.x)

I've seen to it to make absolutely certain my door and windows remain locked at night, and the privacy functions on this contraption are going to prove very useful. I really should have known I couldn't be in any sort of paradise. With Pan about, that'll never be true of any place, and he'll be content to make my life miserable for as long as possible. That may actually not be very long, however.
After all, this is a different Peter Pan than I knew. I'm certain of that. He's older. He fights with a dagger, for heaven's sake. He talks strangely. I really do doubt he's even as intelligent as I normally take him for. It simply cannot be the same Pan, and if it is -- well, that leaves me with a definite and disturbing problem to consider: If this place did that to him, then what is it going to do to me?
All of my things appear to have come to my room. That's encouraging, I suppose, but I wonder if Smee and the others aboard the Jolly Roger have noticed they're gone. Perhaps they even sent them. I don't know how they'd know, but it's just a thought. Starkey is probably quite enjoying the run of the ship in my absence. That's his way, after all. I don't think anyone could have had a better run of the ship than I, but I chose Starkey knowing that if I ever died, he would be able to take care of them.
...Is that really what it was?
I'm coming to find that I am missing the company of familiar men. Smee, especially. It just happens to be particularly difficult to get around and about in the morning without expecting my bo'sun to be there to help me. Getting into that harness by myself isn't impossible but it's also not the most pleasant. And truth be told, it really was the company. Smee was never the most intelligent, nor did he ever seem to stop bending and scraping long enough to understand I was attempting to confide in him, but he was there, and he was the closest I would have ever gotten to having someone halfway normal to talk to.
I do admit that of all of us, he seemed to be the least affected by the Never Never Land -- which by itself welcomes and cares for adults about as well as Pan does.
