The Last three days have been fairly good. On Wednesday, despite two friends not being able to make it, Biker Girl Was at the BART station, right on time, and we had a fun night of the Matrix and home nuked food.It was a lot of fun hanging out with her, as a barely restrained fanboy of the Matrix series (yes, all of it, shush) I was happy to hear her whisper lines before they were spoken. She's so cool, and I feel really awesome that I was able to hang out with her without it being awkward or anything.
The next day, despite all my worrying about teaching another Thrilling Thursday's (that is what we call it) Theater Arts class, all my kids were very well behaved and we had a lot of fun. In fact, when my boss walked in on the class, I felt proud he was there to see it.
Later that night, I went to the gender queer group, hung out with Biker Girl, and we enjoyed 16th and Mission. I sang "Fly me to the Moon". Gods, Ophiuchus, I miss you.

Today, after searching for Holiday story compendiums to read to the kids, I found "Prometheus Unbound" by Percy Shelly (Husband of Frankenstein Author, Mary Shelly). It was beautiful. I never imagined being so captivated by romantic era poetry and literature, but his writing, and his optimistic ideals of the enlightened human mind overthrowing tyranny, gods, and his use of the entire myth as a metaphor for enlightenment within the mind, really spoke to me and my ideals. Percy Shelly (also the Author of the Ozymandias poem) is now joined with his wife among my favorite dead authors.

Dinner was good tonight, watched "Pushing Daisies" without my friends (shh!) and felt pretty good in my reflections about it's themes, especially that of love, unrequited love, and loneliness.
Now I have to do my homework (booooo!) which means switching over to my new and unrelated LJ account. I am blogging my reactions to the reading.
