Day one
Well lets see……. Jar and I went to sleep around 2am Thursday night / Friday morning, only to have to wake up at 6am to shower, together, and leave for Nopi. We actually got on the road to head there around 7am due to Jar’s dumb ass losing his wallet. Our first stop was to be in Charlotte NC to meet up with the tour, this is 284.40 miles away. Not to much to talk about on the way there except a ridiculous amount of Cracker Barrels, I would have killed for breakfast. Almost hit a deer. Evasive maneuvers took place. We ate peanut M&M’s.
Listening to NOFX and Elliot Smith pretty much the entire way we make it to Charlotte. I cannot honk the horn. There were a lot of cars and people. I cared nothing about anything else but food at the time. We hung around for about an hour looking at cars. Jar paid 20 bucks for a t-shirt, some stickers and a loser backpack. A/C is nice. Leaving Charlotte we follow the wrong people and get turned around. We get back on 85 heading the right way now on our way to Atlanta. In SC we see a giant peach. Jar needs a whale dick.
Still in SC right now. From the stop at Charlotte to our destination in Atlanta we have 244.66 miles to travel. I think we have about 170 miles left to go right now. There are people everywhere on the side of the road, rest stops, pretty much wherever we can see from the interstate. Jar honks at everyone we pass. So far we are having a good time just driving there, talking and listening to music. My thumbnail still reins supreme.
After a break of Chick-Fil-A, back to where I left off. Its still Friday, September 16, 2005. On the interstate we saw a lot of nice looking cars, some Volkswagon’s especially. We have now arrived at Jar’s brother Tom’s. He has a very nice house, in a very nice neighborhood. Also he seems like a really cool easy to get along with guy. We took all the tape off the ITR front end, took some choice bags out of the car and sat around like lazy bums. Tom bought us pizza, which was really cool of him. It gave me the farts.
Bathroom break. Hung out and talked to Jar’s brother Tom and his wife Johna for a while. They both are awesome people. We tried to wash the car but there was no light. Maybe we will go to bed soon. Its 10:59pm and we have to get up once again at 6am. Looking at Jar topless in the bed is about to make me see this pizza again. Goodnight.
Day two
Starting the day at 6 didn’t work out as planned. When Jar was trying to wake me up all I could think of is how much I wanted him to get closer so I could hit him. I just took a shower and Jar is outside washing the car like a good little whore. Its now 7:33am. Making it to Nopi at about 8:30am, there was already a lot of people there. We got all parked and immediately took out our chairs. After almost falling asleep in the chair we walk around and looked at everything we could take in. This CRX Si that parked beside Jar got more attention than he did. I wanted to kick the guys ass for wearing a beanie in 127 degree weather. JDM coals rule your life.
It was so damn hot outside, hotlanta dirty. Despite the heat we walked around and looked at most everything. A lot of vendors booths were there, most of them had really good deals too. Just about anything you wanted to look at was at this show. I took some pictures but not as many as I would have liked. The heat made me lazy and tired. I did video some of the drift competition though, that was very cool. I had pieces of rubber all over me, ridiculous. I got random girl sponsors to sign me. Anything that was free, we got.
Ok, Colin ran out of things to say, so I’ll finish. After we got done with the show at about 5, we come home and showered our red, sunburnt bodies and called Rectacilous to see about meeting him and Shawn for dinner. They decided we should go to Hooters, and that we should meet them at their hotel. Little did I know that getting to the Holiday Inn would be such a goddamn hassle. One wrong turn in Atlanta and you end up on some interstate halfway to Florida. Once we got to Hooters Shawn got pretty blitzed and Colin spent most of the dinner yelling random obsenities at some guy named “Gay Chris” who was for some reason wearing a football helmet. Rec told a really funny joke. “This girl told me to give her 8 inches and make it hurt, so I fucked her twice and punched her in the mouth.” There was a guy wearing a shirt that said “Hold my beer and watch this shit.” Shawn and BJ were crunk juice.
After Hooters we decided to see what downtown Atlanta was like. On the way there I raced another Integra that looked like complete shit. He beat me. Fuck. As soon as we parked and got out, Colin decided he needed to take a shit, and walked into the Holiday Inn and used their bathroom. Meanwhile, Shawn and BJ started talking to this homeless guy, asking him where the closest bar was. I guess they didn’t know I wasn’t 21. Anyway, the homeless guy walks us to the bar and as soon as we get there he asks for money. Rec gives him $6 and as soon as the dude leaves alone, he tells us that he had a gun on him. Great. After that we all kind of played the role of scared white kids in the big city and decided to dip. Rec, Shawn, and BJ went back to the hotel to continue getting crunk juice, while Colin and I rode around downtown looking for something to do or take pictures of. We found neither.
Day three
Stardate 24.091. This is Jar. Mutiny has taken place, and Colin has taken over the vessel. I am now in the passenger seat. I am being held captive until this log is completed.
I woke up around 11 this morning after a fairly decent nights rest. I let the lazy fuck that is Colin Proctor sleep while I took a shower and got ready for the eight hour trip home. When I came out of the shower, I found Colin laying on the floor, as his air mattress that he wrestled with setting up the night before was flat on the ground. He looked pissed. While Colin was attempting to make himself better looking in the bathroom I went downstairs and had some pizza and told my brother about what we did the night before. Then we were on our way. It’s about 6:20 right now and we’re on 85 in North Carolina near Charlotte. 4 hours to go.
Update - 6:32, we’re stuck in traffic on 85. This sucks.
Ok we're finally back on the road and have made our way to High Point NC. We decided to take a break and drive around town for a while. We rode around the college campus there which was very nice, and stopped at Sonic where Colin took pictures of the car, and I stuffed my face with onion rings. It was my first expierance at Sonic, I will be dining there again.
Anyway, I'm done with writing this fucking thing, it's 12:32 and we're finally home.
Good times.
List of things I forgot in NC: rubbermade container full of car washing supplies, very important school book that is full of work due Monday, my virginity.
I wish I forgot Colin down there.
