Operation Awesome, part 1: this is love how it needs to be

If you guys had any idea how long I've waited to post this...well, actually, let me tell you.

2007 has somehow become The Year In Which I Do Ginormous Things For My Friends' Birthdays. Most of you will remember boi4eliza's birthday extravaganza in June. While I never specifically set out to do something large for chickwithmonkey as well at the time (because, you know, it ( Read more... )

O.O

Wow, that is extremely impressive. Also, I always wonder how people who watch Farscape really quickly can avoid going into therapy immediately after. Because, dude. That is a rollercoaster.

Going to download now, and you are totally awesome and all of that, but what I want to know is: DID YOU LIKE IT? DID YOU LIKE MY FAVORITE SHOW EVAR?

I can't believe you're saying "frell"... I think a little part of my soul just died. I mean, seriously? Seriously?!

Yes, seriously. As someone who has used terminology from BSG and Firefly, you shouldn't be surprised when I use slang from a show in context like this.

Whatever your particular beef with it was doesn't concern me. I got past my prejudgments of Farscape and gave the show a try, and until you've done the same, this isn't a button you should push.

Sigh, I was totally just playing with you. gdg has been pushing Farscape on me since I met him I think; I'm sure I'll end up trying it eventually. After all, I've learned a lot about not prejudging shows now that Friday Night Lights is my favorite thing on the air. Seriously. (And for the record, I was more okay with "frak" - a clear replacement for "fuck" - than "frell" because it sounds so much like a replacement for "hell", which shouldn't need a replacement word because you can say it on the air anyway. Or something, I dunno, I give up.)

YOU are the most amazing friend in my world. I am still stunned that you would do all this for me AND end up with this spectacularly PERFECT vid. When I look back at how thoroughly you lied to me (SSF Round 2! You bastard!) and how obsessed you got and how emotionally invested you got in making the perfect gift for me, it blows my mind.

And now everyone knows how COMPLETELY gullible I am. I will seriously believe any crazy story about any damn thing. *sigh*

I love you with a love that is more than how INSANE you are for powering through that show. This vid and your dedication to the project are something I will treasure forever.

You are fantastically, brilliantly insane, my friend.

Not only do I adore that you did this (and doing Stranger for you so you could get hooked on one of our absolute favorite shows and make Rachael such an incredible birthday present, totally an awesome trade)...I love that you had to document the entire process as you went. Complete with an overly complicated scheme to record the reaction.

You're like the fandom scientist. (The mad in there is understood.)

How do you contain the awesomeness?
