This is intense. The POV of the working class in the Fleet was something that just...wasn't handled at all well on the show, and it always fascinates me to see vids that can present that POV so clearly and strongly.

The constant motion you mentioned makes the whole thing feel restless and agitated from the beginning, and just ramps those feelings up throughout--and, given the subject matter, that's perfectly fitting. And I love the lip-syncing; given that the show used lines from the actual speech, putting Savio's voice literally into Tyrol's mouth works *so* well.

Thank you! The POV was definitely scattered in the fleet, and the arguments kept changing (civilian vs military, Galactica vs Pegasus, lower class human vs upper class human, upper class human vs other upper class human, humans vs cylons, etc.) I'm very pleased to hear that the vid felt consistent to you.

putting Savio's voice literally into Tyrol's mouth works *so* well.

That part was SO FUN, I cannot lie :-D

I appreciate the feedback!

Wow, thank you so much! I am deeply flattered. This is an angle of the show I hadn't explored before (in vids) myself, but have seen done well before by others. It was a lot of fun to go in and get my hands dirty (if you'll pardon the pun) and fight for the "little guys."

I'm glad you liked this, and thank you again for the feedback!

This is fucking badass. Like serrico said, putting Mario Savio's voice in Chief's mouth is hardcore. I didn't remember most of the show or what was going on in the clips but it didn't matter because the music and clips told plenty of story. I also love seeing a gritty, purely human BSG story - were there any space clips at all? I didn't see them.

Also I kept thinking of Harmony the Wretch and Ronnie the Bear. I vote that you do a voiceover for BSG called "Robot People Dear Watcher."

Ah! I meant to mention that! No spaceships at all -- a first! (I also tried to have no Starbuck, but eventually she snuck her way in there. SIGH.)

Ahahahaha. I still have on my long list of ideas to do a BSG version of WPDR (use the audio in vid form, like Maneater). Kara is *totally* drunk every day before noon.

Great movement, I really liked the hands and machinery at the beginning. It's action and moving-camera heavy but in a way that flowed really well. While it's not a POV I always agree with, you constructed it really well. :)

Thanks! The song has such an industrial sound, it just seemed natural :-) The thing about this POV for me is that when watching the show, I hated the episodes away from the core characters, then later I found myself wanting to know a lot more about the rest of the fleet. Maybe that means the show could've handled it better when they were dealing with it, I dunno. Too late now, anyway, heh.

Thanks for the comment!
