fall band concert!
As most of you know, I play in the Rainbow City Band here in Seattle, the local community GLBT concert/marching band. Our fall concert is coming up in a few weeks on Saturday October 18th at 7:30, themed Things That Go Bump in the Night. With upcoming school commitments, this might be the only concert I get to do this year, so it would really be wonderful to see familiar faces in the audience again.
We're playing selections from Wicked and The Nightmare Before Christmas plus classics like "In the Hall of the Mountain King" and even "Thriller" complete with marching percussion! \o/ I have a particularly bitchin timpani part on "Abracadabra" that I'm itching to show you. *g* It's going to be a really great show.
The concert will be at Nathan Hale High School in Wedgwood (right by my house). Tickets are $15, though we can take as low as $12 or $10 if you are in a tight spot financially. You can buy tickets online [here] or purchase them directly from me to avoid the tiny service fee and/or get a discounted price. Just leave a comment here or drop me an email if you'd like me to hold one for you. (If you do buy online, let me know you're coming so I know to look for you! *g*)
