SOMETHING DIFFERENT?
Don't you have those phases in your life where you can never, ever, decide on what you want to be when you grow up? Ambitions that constantly change; they're just phases where you can never make up your mind and settle on one. And because recently I've just moved into another one, hence this entry.
No I don't have anything much to offer. The past few months though, I've been (and still am) churning and brewing ideas in my head for a new project - nothing has been fixed though and I'm still working on it. The only thing stopping me has been school and other real life stuff. I must admit that I'm afraid if I don't force a tiny bit out at a time I may totally lose whatever inspiration and ideas that I've got. And despite all that business, I'm trying my very best to take this seriously. I want to anyway. I feel like if I do this well it will be a big accomplishment and it'll be something to be proud of.
So, the main point of this entry. I've finally confirmed my playlist. In other words, I've decided on the soundtrack for my new project. The music has been my primary source of inspiration, where I get all ideas from. I listen to it, and try to think of how I'm going to write and portray my story. That makes this project a little different others because I'm taking a more film-like approach to it. I haven't been writing for a long time and I've become a little rusty already but this time when I write I try not to focus so much on the language or descriptions (mine's nothing fantastic anyway) but I try to picture my story being played out like a film. I think the music sets the atmosphere very well so if only was a way to put the music and my story together... It's like a challenge, and I'm very excited.
Here's my little silly secret: If I do this well I might want to push it further. This may sound stupid but I wish that I could make a really, solid film out of this, or at least have my project be seen as a literary piece and published. So far-fetched, but, we'll see. I've been enjoying myself so far, being immersed in my project. Also, it's going to be multi-chaptered and long and that's really not something that I'm good at so it'll definitely take a while.
