At some point during the week, Jarod had sent out a handwavey note to the members of his workshop, telling them to dress appropriately for outdoor weather, including a swimsuit. Sure, May in Virginia, BUT it's the beach and an excuse to be lazy, and that is exactly what Jaye is doing. She wonders what the homework for this could be.

Practice your knot-tying. The different colored ends are so you know which end you're working with at a given time.

How Jude managed to tie himself up will forever be a mystery. Such is the wonder of Jude.

He peered at the knot across his chest, checking the handout by craning his neck. "Awesome. I did it right." He struggled a bit. "Uh-oh."

Parker's having entirely the wrong mental picture, of course, given a conversation she had with Jarod this week. But it does look like fun. "Hey, Pippi. You up for this?"

"Hi Parker! Oh yes, it looks like fun! ... I'm pretty sure I don't need one of these... But I should probably just do what the teacher says and not set a bad example huh?"
