Jaye signs in. Still looking really happy about, like, everything.

"I'm Jaye. Never been on a boat but I shouldn't drown if I jumped into a large body of water or anything. Unless there was undertow, or sharks or something maybe."

"Hi, Jaye," Jarod said, "and sharks shouldn't be a problem."

Molly signed in.

"I'm Molly Hayes. I've been on a boat a few times, but i don't know anything about making one work. I can swim just fine though. And I signed up for this class because I thought it would be fun."

Sunbathe, relax, chat, read--just remember it's May in Virginia--and still a bit chilly.

Sure, May in Virginia, BUT it's the beach and an excuse to be lazy, and that is exactly what Jaye is doing. She wonders what the homework for this could be.

"Mine," Parker says, pointing to Jarod. "And hi." She's wearing a suit on under the tank top. At some point, the top's gonna go. If only to see Jarod's reaction.

How Jude managed to tie himself up will forever be a mystery. Such is the wonder of Jude.

He peered at the knot across his chest, checking the handout by craning his neck. "Awesome. I did it right." He struggled a bit. "Uh-oh."

Note to self. When pressing other students into service on my pirate ship... Jude stays out of the rigging.

Splashing each other is permitted. Hitting each other with paddles is not.

Hmmmm, Pippi has seen these things before, but she's not sure she's ever used one...

This should be interesting.

Parker's having entirely the wrong mental picture, of course, given a conversation she had with Jarod this week. But it does look like fun. "Hey, Pippi. You up for this?"

Pippi is looking doubiously at the PFDs.

"Hi Parker! Oh yes, it looks like fun! ... I'm pretty sure I don't need one of these... But I should probably just do what the teacher says and not set a bad example huh?"
