The Last Laugh
Well, apparently Heath Ledger died while I was asleep.
The police say that it was an accidental OD of Ambien. He was taking the prescription sleeping pills for insomnia due to stress over work, mostly The Dark Knight. He was found naked, on his bed, presumably getting ready to go to bed. The bottle of Ambien was on the table next to him, no foul play or suicide is suspected, an autopsy tomorrow will reveal more evidence.
As others have said, this will really put a dampener on seeing The Dark Knight in the next couple of months. Like him as an actor or not, it is always strange and effecting when one of the stars of a movie you're watching is dead. As I've said before, all I saw in the trailer was the Joker and not Heath Ledger, here is hoping the rest of the movie holds true. Whomever they get to play the joker later on in the series will have some big shoes to fill, now I really wish that Mark Hamill was 20 years younger because he could do so with force and verve.
