Musing...

The weekend was mostly uneventful.

I suppose I could say that the highlight of the weekend was watching Genshiken, mostly due to the surreality of the show and how it kind of hit a bit home in regards to fandom. While most of everyone in my group is probably a combination of only a couple characters, there were others that were spot on to people we once knew or associated with. As Gordon mentioned at one point in regards to one character, "I know who that is, thats Raymont!"

Games went well this weened, no real complaints. We've gotten a little farther in Changeling though things were somewhat abortive as our normal stop and go antics kind of caused the game to lag and Geoff needed to do things early in the morning so we had to call it early. Still it was amusing, though if we would have known about having to stop earlier we probably would have been a bit more focused in things, at least I'd like to think so.

The Witchfire continues on with a much better pace than before, but we all know the reasons for that. The meeting with Eggers was a high point at least for me, but that is somewhat expected. His Lowness Eggers (who decided to be born from an egg) and Doctor Thaddeus Lynch are both of a particularly similar madness which I really feel bad about not pushing a bit more as of late. In particular is the Doctor's tendency to speak in third person (which I've been purposely limiting to keep from being completely annoying) and interject himself as the center of whatever is going on. Bizarre as the Doctor is, he is quite competent at what he does and half the time he merely plays the fool to keep people guessing...

Well, I suppose I'm just rambling off now. I need to get my Christmas shopping done this week and hopefully should be able to do that.

As usual, I wish everyone happy holidays and good luck with their shopping and whatever else they have to do.
