Uneasy...

Well, even though the votes aren't all tabulated there is enough of a gap that the conclusion is almost foregone. In January I'm going to ultimately have a new boss. Apparently the people have spoken and Sheriff Kennard will no longer be sheriff and instead we'll have Mr Winder, the man who I did not vote for. I would like to hope that things will not change and they will stay as they are but with the entry of any new administration, things will change. Now in question is wether or not I will get the raise they were planning, as from what I've heard the new sheriff has issues with how much money is going into the jail. Granted this is hearsay but it still makes me uneasy and scared. I hope for the best but we'll see what is going to happen in the months to come.

I was actually surprised for the most part as I was looking at the straight party vote and the highest was Democrat with something like 40-45% and in a state as conservative as Utah thats different. The polls between Hatch and Ashdown for Senate are still too close but while I've voted for Hatch before I had to vote for Ashdown whom I don't completely agree with save for a few key issues. For the moment Hatch is winning, we'll see what happens there at the end of the night.

Overall its been an interesting election and here's hoping for the best in the future.
