If the Mansion has taught Richard one thing about himself, it's that he feels better for being outside. It's something he'd never had much opportunity for, except at Bleak House, and he now wonders if it's part of why he loved his time there. Regardless, he's taking a walk in the woods today, relaxed and enjoying the sunshine.

Ragnelle is rustling through on one of her visits with trees. Catching sight of him she smiles. "Sir! I fear thou dost no longer desire my company."

"What? Never, dear lady, I protest!" He comes over. "What sort of trouble might I get into without you?"

"Nay, I know not. What sort of trouble are thou in?"

[jarndyceheir]

"Every kind, my lady! Always."

"Mary, should I have guessed otherwise?"

[jarndyceheir]

"It takes far fewer wits than yours to guess that."

[inglewoodblues]

She laughs. "I shall deem that a compliment to myself."

"Good, it was meant to be." He grins boyishly.

Oh he's so dear. ♥

She offers her hand. "Hast thou any place thou'rt going?"

"None in particular." He takes the offered hand.

"Wilt walk with me?"

[jarndyceheir]

"Gladly."

[inglewoodblues]

"I have missed thee."

[jarndyceheir]

"Really?" Softer, "Very charitable of you." He looks over. "I've missed you as well."

"Thou hast? Even myself?" with a little mock-surprise.

[jarndyceheir]

"I have to have one sane friend. It's only fair."
