Today has been crazy at work. I’m covering for a co-worker so it is non-stop. I brought lunch but I’m thinking of eating out just so I can get out of here for a while…
I was talking to some co-workers about how kids now a days are so spoiled its sick. It’s just insane! Kids have brand new sport cars and driving by the age of 15 or 16. They have them all fixed up with everything from XM radio to ground effects, spoilers, and new candy color paint jobs. I’ve seen kids as young as 10 yrs old carrying not one but three cell phones. The girls wear anything they want and usually were stuff that is so small you wonder if it came off a Barbie doll. And stuff that doesn’t even cover their bodies. Then you have the guys wearing stuff that is 3 or 4 times their actual size.
Tell you what, when I was a kid I had a bike instead of a car. Holy crap, wait just a second… Did I just say “when I was a kid…”? I’m starting to sound just like my mom. Come to think about it, she thought the same thing about my generation of kids, so maybe it just progression we are talking about. Maybe her parents told her the same thing and their parents told them the same thing and so on and so on… Actually, there were kids that drove fixed up cars when I was in high school and kids carrying pagers, and girls and boys wearing the latest fad. So what the hell was my point anyways; I don’t know anymore, but it looks like things just repeat themselves generation after generation, just newer stuff and better technology. Damn that sucks! What am I suppose to say when my girls grow up? Maybe I’ll just do the same my mom did. “Girls, when I was a kid…”
