It's been a while since I've written something. I don't even know why I bother because no one will ever read it. I watched a few movies recently, both of them were very enjoyable, and I wholeheartedly recomend them to anyone and everyone. The first was The Great Dictator, with Charlie Chaplin. It's a parody of the Hitler, done with respect and honesty, and everyone should see it before they are allowed to die.
The second wasn't nearly as funny, although I did laugh several times. It's called the Quest for Fire, it was put out maybe late seventies early eighties, and is about a tribe of prehistoric men, well, Questing for Fire. They meet and interact with several other tribes, and it was just facinating to watch. There isn't a spoken word of any modern language in the film, however an artificial language was constructed by Anthony Burgess (A Clockwork Orange), which, combined with body language, is perfectly understandable.
There were also Woolly Mammoths, which looked really really really neat. Come to find out, they were actually elephants in costume, how cool is that? There was one part I did not enjoy, near the begining, Ron Perlman (Who else could play a caveperson?) throws a stick of fire toward a pack of wolves nearing the camp, and one of them is put on fire. I didn't enjoy that, being a much bigger fan of animals than I am of animals on fire. Or Ron Perlman, for that matter.
Anyways, go check out those two movies, if you can. You can probably rent them both.
