It's been ages...

I woke up this morning with a vicious hangover.

Ten shots of Captain Morgan at the Avocado Festival followed by ten beers at Casey's house had me feeling pretty good until this morning the pain in my head accompanied the realization of the implications of all that transpired over the weekend.

However, nausea and regret are going to have to take a backseat to the grueling week of rehearsal that is beginning today. I have foolishly committed myself to a main stage show as well as a handful of student one-acts; all of which are to be performed in the coming month. Basically, I have rehearsal in Fallbrook every night this week, as well as day-time rehearsals in San Marcos tomorrow and Thursday.

It seems that my musical taste is expanding to absolute extremes. The Death metal band All that Remains gets me through the day by being (I would say) brutally honest and down-to-Earth with their lyrics, and gay alt-classical songwriter Rufus Wainwright puts me to sleep at night.

Hold onto your hats, Spidey-friends, more updates to come!

All that Remains - Empty Inside

I can't show pain
Long for days
When I am free to feel

Don't want to lose everything
Just want to feel again
My heart would burst for you
If that would make things right

I don't feel anything
Outside the pain you bring
Starting over doesn't look so bad this time

I am not empty inside
Though I long, to make this right

Emotions still touch me
Still I can't feel a thing
Like ghosts they melt into the fog
and leave me cold

Only shadows and impressions
are left for me to hold
My heart would burst for you if that would make you whole

Rufus Wainwright - Leaving for Paris

I'm leaving for Paris, no I don't think that I'll see you
I'm leaving for Paris, no I don't think that I need to
So I'm leaving for Paris, won't you try to take care of yourself?
Just you try to take care of yourself, 'cause I'm leaving
Yes, I'm leaving for Paris

I pray you won't follow through the crooked streets behind me
I pray you won't follow, like so many who I've roamed there
So I'm leaving for Paris, don't you try to find out where I am
Just you try to take care of yourself
Cause I'm leaving, yes I'm leaving
Cause I'm leaving, yes I'm leaving for Paris
Goodbye

And when I get there, I will lose the ring you gave me
And when I get there, how happy I will then be
So I'm leaving for Paris, won't you try to take care of yourself?
