You probably have a huge list of places to see...but top on my list to tell you is Times Square (probably an obvious choice, but still) and if you like huge toy stores, FAO Schwarz.

Radio City Music Hall is big thing and has been in the movies. I believe Rockefeller Center too (although it's more iconic at Christmas).

Any of the museums

I think Times Square is pretty much a gimme. FAO Schwarz is on the list (as seen in Big - so a movie connection too!)
