(no subject)
Somehow it's ended up being ages since my last proper entry, and I don't really have time or energy for one now. But here's a brief recap:
Two weekends ago, we finally made a start on sorting out our box room, throwing out a lot of stuff and moving a few things up into our newly-boarded loft for long term storage. We took a whole car-load of stuff to the tip to dispose of / recycle, including (slightly ridiculously) five computer carcasses. There's lots left to do, but it feels good to have made a start on reclaiming our space!
Last weekend we went into town as I really needed some new shoes. I detest shoe shopping, though, so I was rewarded with lunch at one of the Chinese buffet places, and a pint at the pub on the way home :) The lowlight of the weekend was getting punched in the face by one of the other black belts at Sunday's karate class - we wear padded gloves when fighting, but he caught me with his (unpadded) thumb, leaving me with my first ever proper black eye. I suppose that's not bad going after eight years!
The rest of the time's been a mix of work, karate (lots of teaching), online Quake 4, listening to lots and lots of Marillion, setting things up on our new server, and being really really ready for a break.
