I feel really bad for Dan Rather. I saw a poll today where 40% of people ranked his coverage of the news poor. One mistake and the man is abandoned. I remember watching him immediately after Sept. 11th, refusing to leave the news desk. He seemed to be really affected by it, more than Jennings or Brokaw; I kept having flashes of Walter Cronkite taking his glasses off and saying that JFK was dead.
I was right to come home last night. Today was a really nasty day. Hard wind and rain all day, and then, when the sun went down, snow. Once it started snowing, I didn't mind as much.
I went over to my dad's house to borrow the Soprano's DVDs, since he was out of town and I wouldn't have to get permission. My sister was there to pick up his mail and newspaper. We got in a big fight, starting out about what I'm going to do after college and then escalating to other things, which surprised me and really surprised her. She kept talking about how angry I seemed, but I think she was blowing it out of proportion, as per the usual. That girl knows how to push my buttons.
Anyway, I shoveled the driveway when I got home to blow off some steam.
Anyway, tomorrow's Thanksgiving, so I get to go up to beautiful Bloomington, IL. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
