Summary: After living his whole life under one roof, Manticore is all X5-197 has ever known. But something happens and suddenly he's forced out into the real world, a world he doesn't belong to and is finding it increasingly difficult to live in, stealing to survive and making sure the barcode on the back of his neck stays hidden. Then he arrives in Richardson, and gets a job at Badger Shipping and suddenly, things start to look up...
Author's Notes: This fic is a rewrite of that old TV show, 'Dark Angel'. It's not an exact copy, 'cause that's boring and cheating, so I've put my own spin on it, but if you're looking for a 'Jensen as Max, Jared as Logan' type fic, you'll be slightly disappointed. This is also a WIP. I can't promise that it'll be updated with any sort of regularity, but I WILL finish it.
