If you have come to any of the river floats in the past, you know it is drunken
candor like this that makes the trip truly worthwhile. Some might argue
that it is the pristine waters, the scenery, or the good night's sleep on the
beach.
Regardless of what has led you to the past river floats, I invite you to
another on Saturday, June 25. I do not promise that this one will be better or
worse than past floats, although this party will have a keg and will fall two
days before my 21st birthday, so who knows what will happen.
As always, plan on arriving here sober at 1 p.m. on the 25th, we can decide
then whether we want to do the long float to Anamosa like last year, or float
the shorter route from years' past. Also, as always, if you plan on drinking
here, plan on spending the night. And try to avoid bringing troublemaker
friends I don't know, that really pisses the landowners off. If they are cool
and won't take over the music or steal stuff, they are cool with me -- just
give me a head's up.
