on the eve of a familiar routine:..

As time seems to pass at an alarming rate, I decided that keeping a journal would be a healthy habit to build. I will compose a book version for my eyes, and this electrical one is for you and whomever else that may stumble upon this. I hope you find it worth reading.

My team lost in decisive fashion today and I honestly was not surprised. Unfortunately, hope always manages to inflate my expectations and makes the defeat more painful to bear. I ought to take football less seriously.

I arose this afternoon, only to discover that another roommate decided to bunk with us this semester. I bid farewell to our smoking room and welcome a new wave of action DVDs, home cooking, and enlightening conversation. It will be good to have you around, Jake.

Like several Sunday afternoons this year, I failed to breathe the fresh air of the outdoors, today as no exception. Perhaps I will enjoy more outdoor activity next Sunday, as my football season is complete. Unfortunately, it is still Winter, probably I will remain cooped up for a few Sundays more.

I am pleased that Christmas break has finally ended as I need to maintain a normal schedule and fall asleep sooner. Now is a good time to start.
