Teatime was certainly not following Susan (that would be incredibly rude), but he was watching her at a safe distance. He had a funny feeling about the woman Not those funny feelings, you silly wankers, and he certainly didn't like them.

At all.

He appeared behind her as quietly as he could (which was quite quiet, he had found many skills that seemed to be muscle memory to him), eying the poker and fighting an extreme twang of deja vu.

"What a nice dress, Miss Susan." He tried to fight any urges to attempt to snatch the poker from her hands.

Susan absolutely does not jump when Teatime suddenly appears out of nowhere. No, no jumping at all. She was completely calm and in control.

"Teatime," she replies. Pronounced incorrectly, because she's only seen his name in writing so far*.

She notices him looking at her poker (which wasn't really there, of course. It was just a figment of her imagination), and narrows her eyes.

"Are you here for a reason, Teatime, or did you just want to comment on my attire?"

*She didn't say it out loud, of course, but her first thought upon reading it was, "as in four o'clock in the afternoon?"

"It's Teh-ah-tim-eh, actually. No one ever gets it right.*" The constant chipper grin stretched slightly wider. He stepped closer, at this point most likely invading what would be considered "personal space*", gesturing at the poker, doing his best to hide the odd strain in his voice at this point. He wasn't really angry, but that funny feeling was getting worse.
"I was merely curious." He wondered vaguely where the obnoxious one-eyed redhead was. He normally seemed to be constantly on his tail. "I wasn't aware that you would receive a ring as well."

*He had learnt of this topic in a book given to him along with that nice bottle of pills.**

**He threw both away somewhere near the science labs.

Contrary to what Teatime believed, Lavi was not always on track with the man. When they had been following the woman from earlier, he had found more entertainment in watching a small family of bunnies graze not far off from his spot behind a bush. Lavi had a soft spot for all things small and cute (i.e. bunnies, turtles, spiders...) and found them more interesting than stalking with Teatime.

When the bunnies had run off (he stepped on a twig), Lavi decided at that moment to catch up with the man. Coming up from behind him, having missed the entire conversation, he blinked at Susan. Then smiled.

"Hi there!"
