Thinking about Derek while trying to pack
Update*****Derek is still in ICU. He is passing blood through his urine and is having kidney problems. He is very conscious and wants to get out of the hospital but the Drs. are holding him to see what's going on with his kidneys. Believers keep praying! Love you all!!!
Although I love to travel, packing is not my favorite thing to do. We're all gearing up for All-State and I'm excited. I hope everyone will get along on the trip...and the drive will go by quickly. I am probably bringing everything except the kitchen sink, (that's just me).
I've never been able to pack lightly for any travel occasion. This flaw/quality about me really ticks my husband off. We truly are opposites! Sometimes I wonder how two totally opposite people in the world could attract to each other the way we do and stay married for as long as we have. Next month is our 18th wedding anniversary, geeeez we've been together a long time. We have been through good times and bad times but still we are best friends....((Mom and dad, you guys have been a great example for what a marriage should be. Thank you for loving each other and us the way that you do! I miss you!))
I hope that I will get to talk to my parents tomorrow since its my birthday and all. M and the boys gave me my presents early. They all were so sweet! J gave me a beautiful silver heart necklace, Jo Jo and KJ gave me a certificate for a day spa pampering, and M gave me what I wanted most, a shopping spree so that I could get some new outfits for the trip. Speaking of the trip, I better go pack now. My bags will be bursting at the seams! I am going to be like Lucille Ball when she and Ethel tried to close their suitcases on I Love Lucy! That episode was hilariously gut splitting! I loved that show! Where have all the good comedies gone? Nothing on TV makes me laugh anymore...guess that's why I never watch television..... Good night....I have to finish packing.
