I still haven't got the slightest clue why I have a live journal. I don't usually have anything interesting to say half the time, never writing the profound thoughts that I sometimes read in others journals. Most of the time when I do come here to record my thoughts I second quess everything I put on the page. I'm not used to writing in a journal where the whole world can access it. But there truly is something compelling about reading other people's thoughts.....I mean it's interesting especially if the person is somewhat like yourself. I love reading other art teachers' journals especially in the arted group where I can relate to what's going on in their classroom. I read this today in a friend's LJ and I definitely can relate:

"Ok, I have a 6th grade art class at the end of the day that is pretty big - 30 kids. Out of those 30, I think (I have to double check paperwork to be certain) there are 5 or 6 life skills kids in there. Life skills in our school are kids that are very low functioning - ones that are learning things like how to do laundry, still learning basic letters/words, etc. I also have a couple of other learning disabled kids, but they aren't nearly as low level. AND...there's a emotionally disabled kid (manic depressive and aggression issues) who doesn't do well with chaotic situations. Does this sound like a really bad recipe to anyone else? Today in addition to 30 kids, I had 3 aides. There were just WAAAAAAY too many people in my classroom."

***Sounds like my 5th, 6th, and 7th period classes!!!
