just can't sleep
Dang Judy! I can't sleep and I am actually so very tired. Tomorrow night is the opening of the faculty art show at the averitt art center. Would like for any of you all to come see the exhibit. Frank, Larry, Onnameaga and I hung the show and I will have to say it is quite an eclectic exhibition. My favorite piece is Julie McQuire's, Homage to the Dead Frogs in my Pool (or something like that). It is awesome! I have a small mixed media piece in the show that I titled, Memories Eternally Woven. Its about the deceit, lies, and crap that an abused child deals with and stills deals with as an adult. I'm not going into detail on the interpretation right now but the work is nonobjective and the colors and textures speak loudly. I think a couple of my NAHS students will be helping me with the reception.
