"All set back there?" The question was almost lost amongst the rushing wind that whistled past sensitive audios.
"We're good." The seeker balanced precariously on the edge of the lowered ramp shouted back as he looked over the group of groundpounders. Even they couldn't deny themselves the thrill of flight, even if it was only for a limited time.
::The repulsor pack is hooked directly into the altimeter and your datafeed. Initiate the pack when the first warning messages flag up.:: The seeker switched to comms to ensure that his audience didn't miss anything.
::You've told us this three times, can we go yet?::
Wings flickered in amusement. ::If I tell you three times it might sink in so that I don't have to come catch you. But yes, you can go.::
The mech didn't need anymore encouragement as he took a running leap out of the shuttleformer. The rest of the group followed until there were only three left.
A grey and green orbital model was happily prodding his two friends, his vocal indicators flashing rapidly as he tried to cajole them into jumping. The green and bronze mech had inched towards the edge and was peering out with a strange sort of resignation. The last one, a bulky white and red mech was clearly less than happy at the prospect of hurling himself out of a shuttle and letting gravity have its way with him.
::If you don't want to go, you don't have to.:: The seeker said on a private commline and the mech snapped his helm up, a look of determination crossing the facial plates as his armour rippled in dismissal.
::I haven't lost a bet yet and I'm not about to start now.:: That said he hurled himself over the edge with an energon curdling yell. The other two followed, the grey mechs laughter lost in the rushing wind.
"That's everyone out." The seeker said as he pushed away from the shuttle, freefalling after the groundmechs for a while before he lit his engines and blasted downwards, waiting near the ground in case he had to catch any of them.
Thankfully today everything went well and he was soon rounding up the stragglers as they landed, the shuttle settling down ready to transport them all.
::That was slagging brilliant!:: Excitement coloured the glyphs as the previously reluctant red and white mech bounded back to the shuttle. ::Can we do it again?::
