So, I sent MANAA an e-mail last month about the whitewashing of M. Night's "The Last Airbender."
( I also called them.) Today, during lunch, I was pleased to find they had responded!

Dear Ms. D,

Thank you very much for your email and voice message. We have been looking into whether any of our contacts can provide us with more information as to what's happening behind the scenes with this, and we are working on a response. In the meantime, we encourage concerned fans like yourself to speak up.

MANAA

Yay MANAA!  Maybe Paramount will finally be forced to make a statement. Instead of ignoring us like the cowards they are.

I talked to a friend and she said I should contact celebrities like Oprah, George Takei, Masi Oka, etc. and write to The Daily Show/Colbert Report, Time magazine, The Today Show, etc.  I think it would be awesome if Jon Stewart could do a piece on the campaign, not to mention the massive publicity it would bring to us.

My history teacher is apparently a member of  a Laotian Support group and said she would tell them about the casting.  So, yeah.  Time to work on the little press release I'm trying to compile.
