Random Walker Update #1
Hey All!
This is Post #1 for the Random Walker! I'm going to try and keep track as much as possible of the planning and such that's going to go into this because I know that it WILL NOT be easy.
Since discovering Random Acts.org (check it out, join, donate :] ) that I wanted to do something. Something big. Really, really big. And Random.
I thought about teaching kids poi but that's not really Random and it's not really an act of kindness (well it is, but I wanted something on a much larger scale). I wanted something that would reach a lot of people; really make a different. The idea came to like most good ideas and I've got a good grip on it! Last year (2010) I travelled pretty much the length and breadth of the UK by Public Transport and I loved it! I met loads of new people and had one hellova time! What if I could travel but without the use of Public Transport? What if I did what my nan used to do back in her day and walk?
So here I am. You're listening to the rantings of the Random Walker who is going to Walk for Charity! I'm still planning my Route but once I've completed that I am going to start looking into cost and then with the help of some Minions from Region7 I'm going to set up a Just Giving.com account and I want as many people to sponsor me as possible.
I will start in Thurso I will end up in Penzance and baby I'm gonna walk the entire way! So keep watching this space for updates!
