Favourite songs meme
List seven songs you are into right now, no matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Because I live by my Ipod rather than radio, my songs tend to be old. With two exceptions, from the last two abums I downloaded. So my "into right now" is basically my "always into" ...
1. Guess who's in town for APEC? So Dear Mr President (Pink) is getting a lot of airplay. On my Pod, too.
2. Breathless, Nick Cave. My favourite song from the five or so Nick Cave albums I had. Had the pod on Shuffle last night and just had to go back and hear it again. And again this morning.
3. G'n'R - Estranged/Breakdown/Rocket Queen - can never decide between these. I'm a sucker for dirty, overblown epics. (And there is a fic or 10 in there. Every GNR song has a fic, and one day, I'm gonna write them all...)
4. Pump it - Black Eyed Peas. Gets a lot of play here because my two year old loves to dance to it. Really.
5. Funky Tonight - John Butler Trio. So infectious. I downloaded this album not even realising they were Australian!!!
6. Cold Chisel. Forever Now. Always on high rotation. Not sure if they're known overseas or not, but these guys could rock like Ac'Dc, but went one better in that their songs capture the spirit of working class Australia much more accurately. (And check out the vid - been a LONG time since music vids were THIS simple ...)
7. Christy Moore - Easter Snow/Bright Blue Rose/Nancy Spain. Because I'm Irish and there's always a rebel song in there somewhere. (No decent youtube for this one).
