Love is like a fire
Love is like a fire.
Sometimes it burns quickly and brightly, flaring up in an intense show that burns too fast and quickly uses up all of its fuel.
Sometimes it burns slowly but strongly, never overstepping its bounds and staying lit forever.
But most love is like most fires...
...it could burn forever, but unless it is tended to, stoked, fueled, it will burn out eventually, slowly, quietly.
Most love requires tending.
That's what I think, anyway.
