Me update
- Took Smeg to the Doctors today. She's had non specific tummy aches for, oh at least 3 years but probably longer, but never enough for me to think she was ill per se. Following a link whilst reading something unrelated took me to a site about lactose intolerance and she has an awful lot of the symptoms. So I bought her non-dairy spread and ice-cream, low lactose milk, etc to see if it made a difference. We think it did so went to see the Doc.
He suggested doing a four week food diary, 2 weeks normal food, two weeks completely lactose free and if there is a marked difference to go back and he'll refer us to a paediatrician. To say Smeg isn't impressed with that idea is an understatement *g* Which is strange because if every time I ate ice-cream I got a tummy ache half an hour later you know I'd never eat it again.
Anyway that really wasn't about me was it *rolls eyes*
- I've been having a massive clean/tidy of my house over the last week or so. World's worst housewife here, so it has to be done every so often and it takes forbloodyever :( Still the end is in sight now :)
- Went to the parents on Sunday to see my honorary uncle. He's totally into board games, especially maths based ones and the kids love playing them. We played 3 different games and I won every single one overall *smug*
- Good news - My muse seems to be on the way back in
Bad news - She's not interested in any of my current fics *slaps her* and I'm fairly sure the story she wants to tell isn't something other people will be interested in, although it's definitely fandom(s). But I have started an outline and I will be writing it but this one is definitely written for me rather than any hope of feedback *g* I do have the first inkling of an idea for a new Felicity & Zed story, just need to let it stew in my brain for a while.
- Mum booked our holiday today. We're going to Wales for 2 weeks camping in the middle of the school holidays.
- Watched Little Nicky tonight. If that's what heaven is really like then I'm so glad I'm heading downwards.
- Found a download source for 24 so I've been grabbing those. Tried to re-upload some but it keeps failing... and making my comp run soooooooo slowly.
- It's been hot here lately - that's UK hot, not other people's hot btw - so it's been uncomfortable sleeping. Tonight the temp seems to have dropped a little so I might sleep better
