To the UTAH Coal Miners (and all coal miners) and Their Families

Aug 11, 2007 14:52

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

In my humble opinion coal mining is the hardest, dirtiest and one of the most dangerous jobs on the planet. I come from a long line of coal miners. My mother is a "Coal Miner's Daughter" and scarily enough she grew up not far from Butcher Hollow (aka Holler for accent affect). My uncle was also a coal miner (RIP), as well as all of my cousins. Some of my cousins still living in the south still work in the mines.

Everyone of them suffered or is suffering with black lung.

Let's keep these families and every coal mining family, in our thoughts and prayers.
