Pairing: Kim bum/Kim so eun
Summary: ‘He’s not leaving.’ She thought, happiness flooding her heart.“Kim Bum.. thank you..” She murmured shyly and quickly joined him in the car.“It’s Bummie.” He ordered.“Huh?” She asked.“Bummie. Call me Bummie.” He patiently repeated to her, like a teacher teaching a toddler.“ Uhh, Bummie?” She said, with uncertainty, confused as to why he was making her repeat his name over and over again.
Chapter 3: The Date
Kim Bum leaned on his car outside So Eun’s house. He looked at his watch. She was 20 minutes late. He sighed.
“ How boring.” Kim Bum yawned and closed his eyes.
‘Just say that you want to be there’. What did Hye Sun mean by that? Does she know something that I don’t? Kim Bum wondered.
He opened his eyes when the gate opened.
“Damn you Bummie! You hurt me so much. I will never forgive you!!!” So Eun muttered.
“Why are you late? “ Kim Bum asked bluntly.
Her eyes widened in surprise as she stared, dumbfounded, at him.
‘What is he doing in my house? Did he hear me saying how much I hate him?’ She thought in shock.
“I.. I was singing.. Haha..” She laughed nervously as she tried to make an excuse.
“Definitely a bad singer.” Kim Bum murmured. Actually, he had heard her words clearly and it was very unsettling for him.
“Why are you here Kim Bum?” She asked, changing the topic as it was very embarrassing on her side.
‘Kim Bum? Somehow, that doesn’t sound right.’ He frowned.
“Why are you late? Did you do that to look good for me?” He asked, trying to make her say his nickname again.
“What? You came here just to say that? If you did, you know what, you should just go home, Bummie!” She said, fuming.
“Just kidding. Get inside.” He said, with an evident smirk playing on his lips.
“Why should I? And why are you even here??” She said, utterly confused.
“I thought you asked me to come here today. I’ll go home if you want me to.” He said, the smirk still there.
“Don’t get the wrong idea. It was Hye Sun’s idea, ok? I really don’t mind shopping alone.” She said, but the hint of sadness was clear in her voice.
“Ok. Bye.” He said, and got inside the car.
“Hey! Wait for me!! Where are you going? Hey, Kim Bum!” She yelled.
“Home. You said that you don’t mind shopping alone. “ He said, starting the engine.
They stared at each other for a moment.
“Oh. Yeah. So you’re going home. Bye then, Bummie.” She said, disappointed.
Bum felt his heart beat faster. Only she could make his heart beat like this when she called his name. ‘Bummie’ coming from her mouth sounded so nice. The way she said it, soft and gentle.
She watched as Bum drove his car slowly. She realized that the car stopped in front of her.
‘He’s not leaving.’ She thought, happiness flooding her heart.

“It’s Bummie.” He ordered.
“Huh?” She asked.
“Bummie. Call me Bummie.” He patiently repeated to her, like a teacher teaching a toddler.
“ Uhh, Bummie?” She said, with uncertainty, confused as to why he was making her repeat his name over and over again.
“Yeah, So Eun?” He said, flashing a dazzling smile at her, which made her even more confused. She put her hand under her nose, fearing it to bleed because he had said her name with so much charm.
Wait a minute. He’d never called her by her name before. What was he doing now?
‘Why is he acting so cheesy today?’ She wondered.
“Bu… uhh.. Buu .. you.. uuhh…” she reddened, murmuring to herself.
‘She called me Bummie. The way she said it sounds so beautiful.’ Bum grinned. He was satisfied, because teasing her was so much fun.
“Quit daydreaming. We’re already here. Now get off.” He calmly said.
“Uh..” She blushed, not knowing what to say.
“If you’re not ready to say my name, then don’t. I can wait.” He said, with a serious expression, but when she turned around, he grinned mischievously and began to walk with her to the mall.

So Eun was tired of walking. Her 3 inch heels weren’t actually helping either. She was also the one bringing all the stuff she bought. She was actually kind of expecting Bum would carry some for her.
“Walk faster. I’m hungry so I’m going home.” Walking to the place where he parked his car, he found nothing.
“ What the… SH**!! Where’s the damn car?” Bum was furious. He began to walk away from the empty parking space without looking back, forgetting that she was there.
“Wait! Where are you going? Don’t leave me!” She exclaimed, totally appalled that he left her.
He stopped. He had never realized that she was actually there. He mentally cursed himself for being so forgetful. He slowly turned around, and said with a blank look, “ Home. Where else?”
So Eun was frustrated. She had never realized he was this dense. He didn’t even care that her feet were burning up right now. She retorted to him, in an angry tone in her voice evident. ”Are you really that bad? Can’t you see me bringing a lot of heavy stuff with me? And my feet are actually killing me right now, you know!” She paused, took the heels off and pushed them in one of the paper bags so that she could walk barefoot but he stopped her by carrying her bridal style.
“ What are you doing??” She managed to squeak out, with a red face.
“ What do you think I’m doing?” He said.
“What?”
“ You stopped stuttering a while ago. Congratulations.”
She stared stupidly back at him. That was when she realized her mistake.
“ SORRY! I’m really very sorry!” She exclaimed, almost damaging her Bummie’s ears.
“ I don’t think a simple sorry would suffice.” He stated.
“Huh?” She said again, not for the first time of the day.
He stared at her and she stared back. The staring contest ended when he looked down and her eyes followed, then widened.
They were in an.. odd position. When she apologized, she had unknowingly pushed Kim Bum backwards and had landed on top of him. She put her hands on his shoulders to straighten up but it seemed that she couldn’t move a muscle.
Her mind was still processing the information when suddenly, he put his hand on her nape and pulled her forward. That did it. Kim Bum was kissing her, for real, and she felt her world darken. The last thing she saw were a pair of worried eyes.
