News and good news
Some good news and some neutral news. Nothing bad today, woo!
They finally got my certificate of eligibility and are sending it to me ASAP (I would hope). I don't know how quickly they intend to get it to me but I would assume that since I need a week to process the visa and I'm leaving in about three weeks, they will express mail it to me. This is great news since that means I don't have to worry about the mess of changing my status once I get to Japan. I'll just arrive there with the proper visa in the first place.
This means I may be sticking around Ohio for an extra week or so since my place of residence is considered Ohio according to most official documents these days. That means I have to got to the consulate in Detroit. I'll be doing some probing the next day or two to see if I can beat the system and apply for my visa at the embassy in DC. But that just means a little less time with the family and a little more time packing (since I haven't exactly done a whole lot)
It's a lot to sort out in my head right now so I won't waste a lot of time talking about it since I need to spend some time thinking about it. I'll be sure to make a trip out to PA to see some friends and family as well but it may be delays. Then again, I can still make the trip as planned, my starting point will just be different.
Well, I hope this will be resolved quickly/soon. I'm sure you're all on the edge of your seats waiting to see how this turns out so I'll keep the masses (ha!) informed.
