Toshiro loved seeing her smile and always enjoyed her excitement. Momo was sad when it stopped and both of them got off.
“Wasn’t that so much fun?” She was still laughing.
“Yeah… lovely.” He muttered under his breath.
“What do you think we should do now?” She asked him. “Do you want to go into some stores?”
“That is what we came for, isn’t it?” He didn’t meet her gaze, which seemed to disappoint her.
“Toshiro… are you mad at me or something?” She finally asked.
“Unghhh…” He replied nervously. “W-why… why would you even think I was made at you, Momo?”
“Because you aren’t looking at me. It makes me feel weird like… you have something on your mind.” Momo gasped. “Wait! Does this have to do with early? You know, when you were being teased by Rangiku?”
“Uhhh…” He wasn’t sure what to say to her. “Let’s just go look at the stores. You still want to get presents for your friends, right?” He replied, changing the uncomfortable subject.
“Aren’t you going to get presents too?” She looked at him.
“Of course.” He still wouldn’t look at her.
“Toshiro! Would you look at me?! You’re starting to make me worry. I know you have something on your mind.”
“Momo… I-I lo-lo…” His cheeks turned a very bright red. “Ugh… just forget about it, okay?” He growled.
Momo was confused by his sudden burst of emotions. Toshiro was hiding something from her and she didn’t like it.
I think I finally managed to capture some of Toshiro's cold personality. The fact that he loves her so much makes that even more obvious, which is something I'm trying to capture. What's happening here, is that Toshiro WANTS to tell her how he feels but everytime he does, he feels as if he is making a stupid mistake. He doesn't know that Momo loves him in the same way. XD
