Wow today hurt.

We all were still sore from yesterdays PT. We all pushed and pushed ourselves so hard yesterday that most of the platoon went to sleep not long after we were turned to free time. Well today we got together to PT with our TCs or Tank Commanders. They are the ones who are going over everything with us in the tank after we learn it in the classes. Well my TC has been on leave since Monday because his brother was having some problems and he was the only one who could help. So the other two guys training with him and I had to go with some other guy's TC. Well we went on a 5-mile run. Now my legs were sore that I couldn’t move my legs without pain. Now it is way, way worse. Now my pain is twice of what it was yesterday. Now we had a big plan worked out on the white board of our PT tomorrow and it sounds like we will be in more pain. Really this PT here makes boot camp PT a joke.

Well today in classes we first did a class on how to ID different vehicles that other countries to make sure we don't fire on friendlies. I thought the class was boring till we got into the different vehicles. The first part was just different parts and names. The second half was the vehicles themselves. The second half of the day was in the tanks. Our TC had came back just then during lunch so we had him today. He is pretty cool. He is laid back and wanted to get to know us so after going through the radio a bit we mostly sat in the tank talking. It was pretty cool.

On other note I got a text message from Marcus of the truck he got ISSUED. I didn't even know they issued them to the MotorT guys. I thought they just hopped into which ever one was open. Well I think its cool. I know I will be only in one tank when I get to the fleet but I wont be the only one using it because it is a four man crew and the other 3 guys will know more about that tank than I do because I will basically trained on the tanks.

I have been trying to make an entry almost everyday but I get sidetracked with other things because there is a decent amount of things that go on the side of everyday.

I have been trying to be better about treating people here. Before it was easy to not care what I did to people or what they thought because we were in boot camp with many different MOSes but now we all here have the same MOS and are going to the same place and WILL be working together. Though I had always been pushing myself away some because they people in my platoons would be horny people only thinking of sex. Hell as everyone who has gotten to know me pretty well would know that isn’t the first thing I think about. I just honestly don’t think about it every 5 seconds like other guys and I make a point of it… or at least I would. I have been feeling myself becoming more like everyone else now. I used to be about always being very proper around anyone above me and now I have Sergeants and Staff Sergeants telling me to relax and that I look like a brown noser. I think I have been going the wrong way about everything. I don’t need to always be polite and uptight. Hell I have even thought about dipping… It is starting to scare me a bit on how things I used to think unreasonable to think I have been thinking about. I used to think tobacco was purely disgusting but everyone here smokes and there are times where I can’t help but be around it.

PT itself has been getting harder but I think the tolls on our bodies haven’t been as hard like before.

Today in class we have just been going over everything we have been learning for the last week for we can be as ready as possible for the test tomorrow. What I thought was funny was that in the afternoon while we were on the tanks, thunder clouds rolled in real fast and it started lightening. Well after a while someone came out from one of the buildings and said that it was within 3 miles and we had to get off all the tanks and get inside. IT all made me think of being little and being the pool while a thunder storm was coming and them till everyone to get out.

They moved a lot of the tanks around and since I bought a new camera that takes little videos I have some videos of the tanks moving around. I already got a lot of pictures of the tanks and some videos of us just messing around. There is nothing like bored marines to get some funny ass moments and conversation. The only problem is that the videos are in .mov which is quicktime and I don’t have anything to edit quicktime videos. I had hoped for mpeg or something.

I just got a call from my uncle Dean who is a Sergeant First Class in the Army and will be in the Fort Knox area next weekend and wants to see me. I wonder how that will go since I haven’t seen or talked him in years. I thought it was funny when I got the number from Marcus I called him.

I was like “this is PFC Williams or you might remember me as Andrew.”
He was like “who?”
“Andrew”
“Who?”
“Your sister’s son, Andrew!”
“Oh yea, how you been?”
