Well this is the week I've been waiting for since this time last year when Comic Con 2007 ended. Thats right, San Diego Comic Con 2008 starts on Thursday and I couldn't be more excited. My friend managed to use his connections to get me a ticket after they sold out, so I'm pretty pumped. It looks like this year I'll be attending panels for Lost, BSG, Heroes, the new Terminator movie, Watchmen (which just released and AMAZING trailer) and my hero Joss Whedon. This is on top of picking up free swag out the ass, finding the best deals on used comics and going to some great parties. Last year this orgy of pop culture was probably one of the most surreal experiences of my life, mixing great sneak peaks of my favorite media with outrageous fans dressed in some great costumes. Its geek heaven and I'm going to soak in as much of it as possible for the 3 days I'll be there.

In other Hollywood news, Adrienne Palicki (who plays Tyra on the wonderful "Friday Night Lights") came into my internship on Thursday to have a meeting with one of the executives. It was pretty exciting to see her mostly because I had just finished watching the second season of the show and was completely surprised to see her sitting in the lobby. Oh, we also saw "Monk" shooting outside the Paramount Lot where we work, which was cool. Hooray for celebrities...

Also if anyone is bored and wants to check out something fun, goofy, and pretty darn entertaining head on over to drhorrible.com This is a project that Joss Whedon made during the strike without the resources or financial backing of a studio. Its a musical starring Neil Patrick Harris about a pathetic super villain that is trying to win over the woman of his dreams. Its nothing amazing, but the music is pretty catchy and NPH is pretty funny in it. Just a warning though it goes away at midnight Sunday night, so if you're interested check it out quick.

My internships are going really well, its just really tough feeling like a grown up. Everyday I work from 9am-7:30pm so I usually have to get up by 7:30am and don't get home until 8pm, and then I'm so exhausted I usually go to bed around 10:30 or 11:00. I'm really torn because part of me wants to stay in college forever, but I also really like hanging out with the people out here and getting into the industry. Overall I would say its been a much better experience than last summer so I'm definitely re-considering the option of moving here once I graduate. We'll see how it all plays out.

I really hope everyone's summer is going well. I will be back in Westerville for the last two weeks of August and I would like to see as many people as possible, so if you are also gonna be in town please let me know.
