Howdy

So I picked up my lacrosse stick for the first time in roughly two years. Apparently its like riding a bike. I pretty much fell in love with the game again in the 15 minutes I was throwing a ball against the wall. I would really considering trying out for Ohio's club team if the thought of anymore commitments didn't make me suicidal. Jo and I are going to throw around a little Spring Quarter so that should be able to wet my whistle for the time being.

Playing lacrosse again made me realize how many things I just completely dropped by going to college. No more lacrosse. Ever. No more Marching Band. Ever. No more Music. Ever. Its just weird to me. Nows its career, work, and school and unless you have time to give up one of those things, your hobbies just get completely lost. Don't get me wrong, I love making movies, but I just find it weird that these things that were SO important in my life 3 years ago are completely gone.

Anyway, on to less depressing topics. I'm taking a writing workshop with my advisor this quarter. Joanna is taking it as well (and actually told me about it) so I'm really excited. Add one point to Joanna for "Me copying her" except she did copy me and change her advisor as the same as mine, so I would say we're equally copying each others lives at this point. This probably only makes sense to me and Jo, but oh well. I'm really excited because I've been trying to write more and more and get my creative juices flowing, and I think this independent study will really help. Plus the advisor for it is awesome.

I also think I need to just come out and tell everyone something. I've been keeping it in for awhile now, but I don't want to be lying to my friends. Its something that I've been trying to fight, but its just who I am and I've accepted that its who I always will be but, its true...I'm a comic book geek. : ) I've been reading about 5 books consistently over the past couple months and they have been some of the best stories I've ever read or watched. The best would be "Y: The Last Man". I would really recommend picking it up (or borrowing it from me), even if you've been afraid of comics your entire life. Also they are making a movie of it starring Shia LeBouf (sp?) and directed by the guy who did Disturbia. It pretty much rocks.

I hope everyone is doing well. If you're in Westerville this week give me a call and we can hang out. yay!
