Just a little public post so my non-LJ friends can see the outfit I've been nervously blabbing about for ages...
EDIT: For those who don't know, I dressed up as this guy. I was sort of going for this look.

We call this look Man-Mana.
Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who’s the Dix-est of them all?
I have a black frilly shirt, too.
This replicates the shot that got the humourous caption (which is still my computer wallpaper).
I so rarely get to spread my wings.

Double-shot: Left - Japan’s next top model? Right - me & the real deal (or at least, a poster of the real deal).

So, is it Mana-rific? The lips* say no, but the eyes say YES!!

*The lips, in my opinion, are not arched enough. Can’t do that pretty bat-wing thing that Mana's lips do. I end up with Bette Davis lips (a la Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?) that make my face look odd (moreso than usual). I’ve had a few bad face days where that’s almost happened. Plus, I have long, flat lips, so trying to do the bottom like his, which is more rounded, it’d be apparent I’ve only got half my lip done. And unless you’re doing Geisha or Chinese Opera, that looks odd, too. Not to mention the fact that if I do the “V” of the top lip as deep as his - & this prob’ly has a lot to do with the difference between Japanese & Caucasian features - it makes the indentation between my nose & top lip look really deep.
