This is gonna be a long report, so it will appear in pieces. I will post photos later (you may even wish to suggest things you’d like to see that I‘ve described, & if I have photos, I‘ll include them). Please, please bear with my foggy, jet-lagged brain; I will try to get as detailed as I can, & get the details right. I did my best to keep notes ( Read more... )

I was told I would know her ‘cuz she’d be waving a shark puppet.

That is so cool! I don't even know her and I like her already!

You'll feel more like you were there when I give you all the stuff we got you, ha ha! I love the fact that, of all the awesome things I encountered there, you're still harping on those toilets. ^_~

Hey, no need to apologise - we're all just glad to hear you're getting better. Do read the rest whenever you get a chance. As soon as I can get around to putting the pics on my computer, I'll post some of those, too!

Missed you. Glad you had so much fun.

Catching up on things now. My brother was in from Houston for a few days. Are there many American or Western items, snacks, etc. in the comvenience stores, etc? Anyone offer to buy any of your own stuff - shoes, socks, etc.? Can't wait for some pics.

Aww, thanks, on both counts!

Yep, I did spot some Western items. Lots of stuff in the record stores. A few snacks - cookies & such - not a super-lot, but it was kinda comforting to see them around. They even have some of the same chains (McDonald's, 7-eleven), though the items are slightly different.

Nope, no offers from anyone to buy anything of mine. My feet are too big for Asians. :P

Wow, thanks for reading this, & for being glad for me that I got to go! Japan is a really amazing place, I wish everybody could go there! :D What I really want to do, what my soul seems to ache for, is to go back. And stay.

My goal is to live there as a student first, going to language school for an in-depth study of Japanese (with practical daily useage). Then I'll see if I can adapt to living there. If things work well, I'd try to make a go of it.

Ha ha! Yeah, you'll definitely need money there, things are not cheap! I spent SOOOOOOOOOOOO much money, most of it on J-rock stuff! And presents for people back in the States. XD

LOL! I think they would've clobbered me if I didn't come back with a souvenir! XD So yeah, everybody got a little goodie or 2 (I was even giving people some of the coins I brought back; I kept a few for myself, though, & traded in the paper money I had left over for US cash). Toshie & I got charaxinae loads of stuff, of course, 'cuz she was originally s'posed to go with me, but got sick. :(

But you know most of the stuff I bought came home with ME, lol!! XD

I do hope you get to visit at least once. Please, read about the rest of my trip (if you've not already done so), & check out the pictures - I did some posts near the end that are specifically for photos (I took SO MANY!!!).

Hey, you don't have to be young to go to concerts. I'm older than almost all the people I go to see nowadays! And that includes Diru. XP
