Genichi Nomura comes from a long line of military decent. As a child, he went to a military boarding school. After graduating, Nomura joined the army. A few years after completely training, Nomura became a teacher at a boot camp facility.
Nomura ended up being dismissed from his boot camp job for being "too strict" and "too hard" on the kids. Out of a job, Nomura jumped on the Headmaster of Gakuin High's offer to work as a coach. Nomura had known Headmaster Toriyama personally through his military relations. Nomura was soon offered the job as the PE teacher for the boys at the school. He accepted.
Nomura is married and has a few kids. His wife and kids are afraid of Nomura for he expects them to act like boot camp trainees should.
