{FIC} When Things Like This Happen ~ Chapter Twelve
****Seven Months Pregnant****
Junno tapped the dressing room table nervously, he had convinced Kame to stay home the last three months he was carrying and now that the man wasn't around Junno, well he was worried...
"Uepi, what if Kame goes into labor and I'm not there?" Junno asked the boxer next to him reading some magazine, he had noticed Ueda was glowing lately. And the older was constantly off to places for long periods of time, only to come back looking disheveled and glowing.
"He won't Junno, he's only seven months right? Besides, Johnny gave you off for the whole week before and after his due date." The older stated, a faint smile adorning his face as he looked at his mobile. "Got to go, I'll be back in about fifteen." He got up and started to walk towards the door, staring at his phone again. "Make that twenty." And off Ueda went, giggling like a school girl. Leaving Junno behind dumbfounded.
****With Kame****
"I swear I'm fine, Mom." He smiled, hoping she'd hear it in her son's words since it couldn't be conveyed through the phone. "Uh huh, I will. Bye Mom." Kame hung up before throwing the phone across the room.
"I'M USELESS!" He yelled, cursing Junno for planting this child in him. He wasn't allowed to go to the jimusho anymore since the doctor put him on bed rest until he had Yukiko. Kame sobbed while rubbing his stomach, hating the feeling of not being able to do anything.
"Your mommy is sorry she's useless Yukiko-chan, she can't even go to work anymore." The man sobbed, seeing tears flowing unto his tummy. "I can't even see my feet anymore!" He cried harder, wishing that Junno was there to console him.
****7:00 PM***
Junno shut the bedroom door quietly, not wanting to wake his boyfriend. He had figured that Kame was asleep when he saw Ran-chan was banished to the couch. The dog wasn't allowed in the bedroom now that Kame was on bed rest, said man was too moody.
As the older walked more towards his sleeping partner, he saw tear stains adorning his face and stomach. The cell phone laying in the floor and a dent in the wall. Kame had one of his mood swings again, Junno suddenly felt bad that he couldn't be there to hug Kame through it.
"Kazu, we should eat dinner." Junno whispered, gently stroking the pregnant tummy.
"I don't want too~" The man groaned, burying his head further into his pillow. "I'm mad at you." He mumbled.
"I'm sorry I wasn't here, I really would've liked to be here though." Junno rubbed his back, humming in between his words.
"Liar." Kazuya mumbled, still hiding his face in the pillow.
"Baby, show me that pretty face. I wanna see you, I had an awful day at work... please look at me." Junno smiled when Kame showed his face, tear stricken. "There's my love, can I have a kiss?" He asked moving his hand to stroke Kame's cheek.
Kame nodded and Junno leaned down to press his lips on Kame's gently.
