Jin paced impatiently around the waiting area, they had escorted him out 10 minutes ago. Jin wasn’t dumb, if Kazuya wasn’t revived in five minutes, he was dead for sure.
“Please, Yuichi. Bring him back, I can’t lose him again.” He whispered to himself, trying to will away the tears that were forming in his eyes.

Kazuya blinked rapidly, trying to block out the strong light shining in his eyes. He felt cold, freezing, he tried to open his mouth and ask for a blanket or something but found no sound coming out.
It’s no use Kazuya, you’re dead.
Dead? What the hell was that voice talking about? He wasn’t dead, Jin was holding his hand!
Kazuya tried to recall the warmth of Jin’s hand on his and shook violently when it was nowhere to be found.
He left you, Kazuya. They’ll always leave you.
No, Jin didn’t leave him. Not for good, he was probably shooed away. Jin would come back for him, Jin would always come back for him!
Walk into that light, Kazuya. Die for good.
Kame felt warmth seep back into him, he wouldn’t go towards that light. He refused, he needed to be around Jin for a little longer. To discover the feelings he had for Jin, what they were, to touch Jin again. He needed it.
So he couldn’t die. Not today.

“We have a pulse, Dr. Nakamaru. He’s coming back and evening out.” The nurse spoke hastily. Nakamaru nodded and continued on his procedure, he was almost done. He would help this patient, he wouldn’t let anyone down. Not again.
It was a half hour later of careful monitoring of Kazuya and meticulous poking and prodding but Yuichi finally closed up the patient’s wound and began to wheel Kamenashi into the recovery room.
Walking to the waiting room, Maru sighed when he saw Jin crumpled up in the corner of the room bawling his eyes out.
“Jin why are you crying?” Maru asked gently, sitting down next to his friend and rubbing soothing circles over his back.
“Kazuya is dead isn’t he, you couldn’t revive him and now he’s dead for sure.” Jin hiccuped out in muddled sobs, the man truly looked heartbroken.
“Jin, do you like him? Do you have feelings for Kazuya?” Maru asked, as gently as possible. In all actuality, Yucchi had been observing for some time, he saw how the two men looked at each other, he also noticed the longing glances Jin would shoot at Kazuya’s door.
“What does it matter now? He’s dead!” Jin started to cough violently and Maru stood up, a bit frustrated.
“He’s not dead, but I won’t let you into his recovery room until you’re damn sure of your feelings for that man.”
Jin didn’t return to work until two weeks later.

Ryo hadn’t been back to Ueda’s clinic since that night two weeks ago.
He vaguely remembered going to Junno’s bar, taking three rounds of shots, and then waking up in Taguchi’s storeroom the next morning.
Ryo had considered the possibility that Ueda and Koki didn’t have sex, but it was baseless. Nishikido had googled Koki before, he’d googled Ueda too. He knew what was going on, how could he not?
Then there came the worry that Ueda never made it back to the clinic, that maybe the two had run off somewhere and never planned on coming back.
The clinic probably would’ve called him if that happened though.
As he pulled his keys out to unlock his front door, he noticed a pink envelope sticking out from underneath his welcome mat. Picking it up and staring at while walking into his place, he noticed the neat yet ruhed handwriting.
Ueda had been here.
Questions flooded through his brain like a tsunami.
How did Ueda know where he lived?
Why did Ueda come here?
What was the note?
Realizing he could probably answer one of those question easily, he turned the envelope over and began tearing at it until a red card was revealed.
Nishikido-kun, I don’t know why you left me at the hotel and I don’t know how you expected me to get back but I intend to find out. Meet me at the hotel at 9 tonight, room 614. -Ueda
It was a pretty vague note but Ryo could sense anger through the hurried scribbled words, he could just not go to the hotel. Continue to try and forget about Ueda, maybe even go out and pick up a chick or two.
Except, Ueda knew where he lived now.
“To hell with him.” Ryo muttered before tearing the note up and throwing it away.
He was gonna get laid tonight.

Jin stood outside of the room with a teddy bear and chocolates in his hands.
How convienant that the day he figures out his feelings for Kazuya happened to be Valentine’s Day as well.
It had taken a lot of thinking, a lot of alcohol, and a lot of sappy movies to get Jin to realize that indeed he had feelings for the patient, and maybe he was ready for a relationship. It scared him to death but he could deal with whatever was about to happen.
Knocking hesitantly, he tried to calm his beating heart.
“Come in.” Kame’s cheery voice flooded his senses and he found himself unable to breath. He slid open the door, against his better judgement, and smiled slightly when he saw Kazuya laying in bed with a deck of cards spread out in front of him.
“What are you playing…?” He asked, walking towards the bed in small steps.
“Solitaire, wanna join?” The younger one stared at him and beamed, his smile was so breathtaking. So innocent and pure.
“Silly, Solitaire can’t be played with two people!” Jin giggled and set the teddy bear down next to Kame. “I brought you some presents, because it’s Valentine’s Day.”
Kazuya watched as Jin unearthed a box of chocolates and a wrapped box from the bag he had in his hand, grabbing the chocolates and unwrapping them he started to devour different pieces before offering Jin a piece.
The man declined politely and sat down in the chair next to the bed.
“Thanks for the chocolates, did you make them?” Kame asked, a mouth full of chocolate. Jin shook his head.
“I also got you a hat, since your head might get cold once they take the bandages off.” Kazuya chuckled and unwrapped the box. He put the hat on the teddy bear and continued eating.
“Sorry, I’m just really happy to be eating something other than cardboard food.” He closed the lid on the chocolates and put them aside, finally looking at Jin. “So, did you figure it out yet?”
“What?” Jin looked at him confused.
“Your feelings for me. Dr. Nakamaru said that’s why he didn’t let you visit me. Did you figure them out?” He supposed he was being a bit blunt, but he had always been that way.
“Oh…” Jin made a mental note to kill Maru later. “Yeah… I did.”
“And… what are they?” Kame picked the teddy bear up and began to cuddle it close, nervous that maybe Jin was just here to tell him that he didn’t have feelings for him outside of patient and aide.
“I’m pretty sure I like you. I thought a lot about it, and cried about it a couple times. Even though it scares me I think I wanna give something between us a try.”
“Me too.”

Ryo downed another beer, probably his fifth. He wasn’t keeping track anymore, he had called Taguchi to make sure there were hot chicks at the bar and made the trek out there a little over two hours ago.
“Ryo-san~~~” A girl whined into his ear, trying to fight for his attention. He chuckled and turned to her.
“Sorry, where were we?” He faintly registered her smiling before he crammed his tongue down her throat. He tasted fruity drinks and mint, probably from gum. Ryo was too engrossed in making out with the random chick that he didn’t realize everything around him had gone quiet.
Suddenly being yanked up by the shirt and pulled from the bar, Ryo began slurring and yelling at whoever the hell was pulling him. Rearing his head to look at the offender, he noticed a familiar head of black hair.
How the fuck did he find Taguchi’s?
“Joke on you jackass, I used to date Taguchi.” Ueda answered as if reading his thoughts. Where were they going and how did Ueda know what he was thinking?
Ryo’s drunk brain came up with a lot of questions before they reached the love hotel, Ueda slammed him into the door and began to kiss him roughly.
“What the fuck?” Nishikido slurred, making him sound like a bad scooby doo. Tatsuya smirked before kissing him again, gently this time.
“You pissed me off the other day, and I’m gonna get answers. Right after we fuck.” Ueda explained, and began to unbutton his shirt. The explanation only left Ryo’s mind with more questions.
How did Ueda know he was at Taguchi’s bar?
How did Ueda leave the clinic?
Why did Ueda want to fuck him?
How did clouds move in the sky?
Well, the last one was mainly the vodka’s question, but someday he wanted it answered. Ryo was too busy thinking about clouds to notice that Tatsuya had finished taking his shirt off and was now trying to get Ryo to lift his drunk noodle arms so he could strip.
“Ryo!” Ueda yelled, pulling Nishikido into a sense of false sobriety. He had never used Ryo’s first name. “Please just take your goddamn shirt off.”
The drunk man obeyed and hesitantly wrapped his arms around Ueda when he felt the smaller man begin to leave kiss trails up and down his neck. Tatsuya slowly backed them over to the bed and laid on top of Ryo to continue his biting.
“Ow, don’t eat me!” Ryo slurred, pinching the patient’s butt as punishment. He felt Ueda moan into his neck at the contact and smirked.
This could be fun.
Tatsuya blushed as he heard the moan erupt from his throat, he was only supposed to be getting Ryo off so he could have some answers, not receiving the pleasure.
Though, he should be able to get something out of this too.
Ueda squeaked when Ryo abruptly turned them over, so he was now trapped under the man. He watched as Nishikido kissed down his chest and stroked his muscles tenderly. Tatsuya couldn’t help but groan a bit at the sight.
“I’m sorry I left you the other day, I was scared.” Ryo whispered against the hot skin of Ueda’s toned stomach.
“Of what?” Tatsuya asked, pulling Ryo’s chin up to look him in the eyes. He saw pain, maybe some blurred vision, but mostly sadness.
“I thought you and Tanaka would… you know…” Ryo drifted off and looked down at nothing in particular. Though Ueda’s collarbones looked nice…
“Have sex? Me and Koki? Idiot.” Tatsuya chuckled and sat up, urging Ryo to do the same. When the other man was not swaying, Ueda looked him in the eyes.
“You two used to date, didn’t you? I know how to google names y’know.” Ryo said, feeling the alcohol induced haze begin to lift from his brain.
“Used to. I kicked him out after you left, then I waited here all night for you. You fucking left me in a love hotel in a city I know nothing about, Ryo. Then, you stopped visiting me. What the fuck?” Ueda couldn’t stop the anger from seeping into his voice. He wanted to hit the other man, but that wouldn’t be fair.
“I’m sorry. I just… I didn’t want to see it.” Ryo hung his head in shame, he didn’t want to have to say this but if it was the only Ueda would understand, then he would.
“See what?”
“The man I’m in love with fucking someone else.”
