TEST! TEST! TEST!
Sometimes it's like I'm living in World War II or the Cold War. Every once in a while from some unknown location some voice on a loudspeaker says "TEST! TEST! TEST! This is a TEST!" and then air raid alarms go off for about 30 seconds-a minute, followed by "TEST! TEST! TEST! This concludes the TEST!"
I suspect it's coming from the clock tower (we call it the campanile) since loud bell sounnds frequently emanate from there.
In any case, it's strange. Berkeley. Always prepared for the Germans to attack.
