His first TV drama role and the opportunity to work with his Johnny’s seniors is surely to delight fans of Wataru Yokoh (24) from Kis-My-Ft2.
The Johnny’s Jr. star will play a lawyer living next door to main character Seiji (played by Arashi’s Kazunari Ninomiya) in “フリーター、家を買う (Freeter, Ie wo Kau)”, which starts in October. Yokoh will also be working with Kanjani8′s Ryuhei Maruyama (26), who is also starring in the drama.
The unexplained absence of Yokoh from his group’s stage show “少年たち 格子無き牢獄 (Shonentachi: Koushi naki Rougoku)” had upset many Jr. fans last week. Now some fans have been reported to be happy Yokoh had been given such a big job.

In other news related to the Ninomiya and Karina upcoming drama Freeter, le wo Kau more of the cast names have been revealed and now include Igawa Haruka, Maruyama Ryuhei, Shima Daisuke, Otomo Kohei, Washio Machiko, Sakaguchi Ryoko, Takenaka Naoto and Asano Atsuko.
More plot details have also been released.
As mentioned before the story is about a 25 year old freeter who decides to seek a job after finding out his mother is suffering from depression. "Seij (Ninomiya) takes up higher-paying part-time manual labour at a civil engineering site where he encounters the vivacious, cheerful Chiba Manami (Karina) and his superiors. At first, he has a bias against his job, regarding it only as a temporary position, and keeps his distance from the people at the work place. But his exchanges with his colleagues and Manami, who live for civil engineering, gradually deepen. In the midst of this he is reminded of the meaning of “life” and “work, and finds hope to revive his family."
