J-rocker Miyavi has finally announced a new single called “Torture,” scheduled for release on September 15th. This is the first single from the rock star in almost three years and comes as a great surprise to his fans. The title track is billed to be a hardcore rock number and Miyavi says that the song embodies the message of “no matter how hard the situation, keep walking forward.”
The full tracklist has not been announced yet, but the release is already looking quite impressive. It will be produced by Miyavi and Toshikazu Yoshioka (The Strokes Engineer) and will be available in CD only and CD limited versions. The limited edition version will come with a tattoo sticker and a bonus CD with live tracks from his shows in New York City, Tokyo, and Los Angeles.
Miyavi has been very busy over the past several years and recently left his old record label PS Company to start his own label, J-Glam. He signed on to EMI Records at the beginning of the year, so this will be his first release on the EMI label. The rocker certainly isn’t looking for a break as he has just finished up his extensive world tour and is jumping right back into making music. He has been teasing fans about the release through his twitter (@miyavi_official) for the past several days.
