20,000 people bless EbiMao couple
Kabuki actor, Ichikawa Ebizo and Kobayashi Mao visited Naritasan Shinshoji temple to report their marrige on the 9th. They performed a parade which was a reproduction of a ritual from a scroll from 350 years ago. 20,000 people blessed the newlywed couple.
The Ichikawa family is devoted to Fudo Myo-o (one of Five Wisdom Kings of the Womb Realm) since 300 years ago. Ebizo said, “We reported our marriage to Fudo Myo-o sama. Please welcome Mao as part of our family.”
