Takenouchi Yutaka’s new movie to be filmed in Thailand + updates on cast

Takenouchi Yutaka’s new movie ” Taiheiyou no kiseki ~Fox to yobareta otoko~“(miracle in Pacific ~the man who was called FOX~) revealed that they will be filming in Thailand and is scheduled for a February 2011 release.

The movie is originally a book by Don Jones who was a United States Navy admiral, and is being made as a project of the 70th year since the outbreak of war between Japan and America. The movie will be made in both Japanese and American angles.

Takenouchi plays general Ohba who was called FOX by American solders. To prepare for the movie, Takenouchi joined military training for 2 days, lost 5kg, and shaved his hair. He also visited general Ohba’s family to learn more about him.

Okada Yoshinori, Inoue Mao, Karasawa Toshiaki, and Yamada Takayuki will also be in the movie.
