Technically, the Nodame one wasn't a proposal. He didn't even say he loved her or anything. I know men in Japan rarely say it in real life but still...

I agree: the hug from behind in Nodame wasn't a proposal. It's a lovely moment and a great scene, very heartwarming, but not a proposal at all.

Lol, I didn't know that the Nodame one was a marriage proposal. XD? I thought it was more a confession of the heart.

I don't know about the 101st Marriage Proposal since I've never seen it, but I definitely agree with HYDR and Whisper of the Heart (loved that Ghibli movie! <3). :D
